As a solopreneur, you wear many hats.

CEO.

Marketing manager.

Bookkeeper.

Content developer.

Coach.

Technical support staff.

You have to do it all, especially when you’re first starting your business.

So you have to learn how to set priorities for yourself and your business in order to be both productive and effective.

These productivity tips will help you to focus on the right things so you can earn more money in your business without burning out.

Money Making Productivity Tips

1: Focus on the Money-Making Activities

When it comes to earning more money in your business, you need to focus on activities that generate consistent cash flow.

If you spend all day tweaking your website and put off sending an email to your list, what have you gained?

Sure, you might have a prettier website, but you lost an opportunity to drive traffic to your offer and to that pretty website.

Always keep in mind that money-generating activities should always be a priority.

In an ideal world, you’d simply put on your CEO hat and delegate the rest, but here in the real world, we don’t always have that option.

The money to outsource in the beginning just isn’t there.

Instead, you’ve got to work smarter and watch how you’re spending your time.

In the beginning, you may need to focus on activities that bring in quick cash, while also working on recurring revenue sources.

For example, creating a sales page for your high-ticket offer, doing your daily marketing tasks to bring in leads as well as developing your membership site idea.

Get started by creating a list of money-making activities specific to your business and add them to your calendar as non-negotiable daily tasks you must complete.

Some Money-Making Activities to Focus on:

  • Writing welcome series
  • Writing promo emails
  • Planning your emails for the month
  • Batch writing and scheduling weekly emails
  • Opt-In pages for a freebie
  • Thank you pages for freebies and offers
  • Sales Pages
  • Sales Calls
  • Designing and creating a lead magnet
  • Create a tripwire offer
  • Creating tripwire pages
  • Creating FAQ page
  • Create Canned responses for queries
  • Setting up “live chat” on your site
  • Creating Standard Operating Procedures around response times and ways, you can be reached.
  • Price products based on the value it gives
  • Regularly review and update your prices
  • Create a New Offering for Old Clients
  • Repackage Your Offerings

2: Build Systems That Automate Tasks

If you want to make more money in your business, it’s important that you automate certain tasks. Automation is key to scaling your business.

By automating mundane and repetitive tasks, you can free up your time to focus on higher-value activities.

These automated tasks can include such things as scheduling emails and social media.

This can help you make more money as well as save you time.

When you spend less time working in your business, you have more time to spend on your business, such as developing strategies to grow your business.

Get started by making a list of all the tasks you’re currently doing that could be automated. So are you manually posting to social media every day?

Then find the tools & software you can hire to do the job for you.

Hire Help When You Need It

Some tasks can’t or shouldn’t be completely automated, like customer service or creating graphics.

You should take the time to outsource certain tasks that can’t be automated.

Right now you may not be in the position to hire someone full-time or part-time to complete tasks, but you could use platforms like Fiverr to get one-off tasks completed.

Get started by writing a list of all the tasks you do that can’t be automated but you know you shouldn’t be doing yourself. Pick the one that you really hate doing and figure out how to outsource this task first.

For instance, if you spend a lot of time creating and then scheduling social media posts but hate the whole process, your first hire may be a Social Media Manager or maybe you hire someone to create all your graphics including social media and a VA to schedule the posts.

Set Clear Goals for Your Business

Having clear goals is key when you want to earn more money in your business.

These goals should outline what you want to achieve in your business in terms of Revenue & Sales.

While it may be difficult to achieve these goals at first, if you keep them at the forefront of your mind, you can gain a better perspective on your business.

From this, you can make more informed decisions. This will help you make more money in your business, as it will help you make more business decisions based on fact rather than emotion.

If you want to make more money in your business, it’s important to set goals that are realistic and attainable. Set goals that are too lofty, and you’re going to set yourself up for failure.

Learn to Prioritise

It’s hard to prioritise what to work on when everything seems important, however, setting priorities gives you focus and a sense of achievement at the end of your work day.

Here are 3 simple steps to setting priorities:

  1. Write every step-down
  2. Put money-making tasks at the top of the list
  3. Know the difference between important & urgent.

Earning more money in your business isn’t always easy. In order to do it successfully, you need to put in more than just a little time and energy. You need systems and strategies that make more money possible for everyone involved.
